The Role

A fantastic opportunity for a National Account Manager / Product Development Manager has become available with a leading supplier of branded and own label homewares.

This exciting position will have a strong emphasis on design, as you will be working closely with your clients to obtain product briefs and liaising with your in-house Design and Production teams to create bespoke product lines for individual accounts.

You will have full P&L responsibility for a portfolio of existing national retail accounts including major high street retail and department stores. There will be a strong focus on developing and growing these accounts through increasing ranges and bespoke product lines, however you will also be expected to identify new opportunities to expand the National Account base.

Successful applicants will need to possess recent experience in selling homewares or similar products to major national retailers, along with a strong background in product development.

Our client is a leading supplier of a range of quality homeware products to the UK retail market. They have experienced strong successful growth over a number of years and have ambitious plans in place to continue this trend. On-going support and development will be provided for the successful person.

Requirements
  • Recent experience in selling homewares or similar products to major national retailers.
  • Experience within Product Development.
  • Familiar with home furnishing trends.
  • Background in design would be advantageous.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Good long term relationship builder.
  • Highly personable and enthusiastic.
  • Creative.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Applications will also be considered from Key Account Managers and Junior NAM's who meet the above criteria, but are looking to take the next step up to a National Account role.
